What it checks

Two renewal dates that are easy to lose track of

Domains renew at the registrar, certificates at the host or CDN. The checker reads both, from the source.

Registration expiry

Read from the registry's own RDAP record: the expiry date, the days left and the registrar the domain is with.

Certificate expiry

Read from the certificate the server presents on port 443, for the domain or its www host, with the issuer.

A plain status

OK with more than 30 days left, Soon at 8 to 30, Urgent at 7 or fewer. When a date cannot be read, the row says why.

Coming with monitoring

Built for agencies that look after client sites

Monitoring opens Nov 30, 2026. This is what it will do; the free checker above works today.

  1. Paste or upload your client list

Paste domains or upload a CSV, then group them by client so each client has its own list.

  2. Both dates, checked every day

Registration expiry and certificate expiry for every domain, side by side, rechecked daily.

  3. Alerts at 30, 14, 7 and 1 days

An email before each renewal date, so there is time to renew or chase the client.

  4. A monthly report per client

An all-clear summary of each client's domains and certificates, ready to forward.

Preview: monthly report, opens Nov 30, 2026. Fictional clients and domains.

Alerts before each date

For every domain and certificate on your list, an email at each step.

  1. 30days left: time to plan the renewal or tell the client
  2. 14days left: a reminder if it has not renewed
  3. 7days left: marked urgent
  4. 1day left: the last alert before it lapses

FAQ

Questions

Where do the dates come from?

The domain date comes from the registry's public RDAP service for that domain ending, found through the IANA directory. The certificate date is read from the certificate the server presents on port 443.

If we cannot read the server's certificate (some servers only accept the newest TLS version, and a few hosts cannot be reached from our checker), we show the newest certificate issued for that exact name in public certificate logs, and the row says so.

Why does a domain show no expiry date?

A few domain endings, including .io and .de, have no public RDAP service, and some registries do not publish an expiry date. The row says which case it is. Your registrar account always shows the date.

Do you store the domains I check?

No. We count how many checks are run and how many domains they cover, per day. The names themselves are not stored.

How many domains can I check?

Up to 25 per check, and up to 10 checks a minute. For a longer list, run it in batches, or join the monitoring waitlist.

What will monitoring cost?

$12 a month for up to 100 domains, or $29 a month for up to 500. People on the waitlist keep that founding price for 12 months.

Can I start monitoring today?

Not yet. Monitoring opens Nov 30, 2026. The priced buttons put you on the waitlist; no payment is taken and no subscription starts.

What does the certificate check not cover?

It reads the expiry date, the issuer and the names on the certificate. It does not validate the full trust chain, check revocation, or look at ports other than 443.
